Per-resolution pricing is a billing model in which a helpdesk or AI vendor charges a fee each time its AI resolves a customer conversation, on top of or instead of a seat or plan price.
The bill is roughly the number of AI resolutions multiplied by the fee per resolution. That sounds fair, but it means your costs rise in your busiest weeks, such as a sale or a courier delay, exactly when margins are tightest. The vendor also decides what counts as a resolution.
Before you sign, ask how a resolution is defined, whether a customer who stops replying counts, and what a peak month would have cost on your real volume.
Hobson does not charge per resolution. Plans are flat monthly prices based on conversations, with every feature on every plan. At the limit, drafting pauses until you upgrade or the next period starts, so there is no overage bill. See pricing.
