Terms of service

The service
Hobson is a helpdesk that helps businesses answer their customers by email, live chat, Instagram, Messenger and contact forms. The service will change as we improve it. We will tell you before making changes that materially affect how you use it.
Plans and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or annually by our payment provider, Stripe, and priced by the number of conversations each month.
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. We take a card up front and charge nothing until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
- When a workspace reaches its monthly conversation limit, Hobson stops drafting replies to new conversations until you upgrade or the next billing period starts. We never charge for going over.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your responsibilities
- Use Hobson only for genuine, one-to-one customer support. No marketing, bulk or unsolicited email.
- Only connect mailboxes, domains and data you are entitled to use.
- Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us about any unauthorised access.
- Review the settings that let Hobson send on its own. You remain responsible for replies sent from your workspace.
Your data
You own your content. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Availability
We work hard to keep Hobson running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Your email keeps flowing through your own provider even when Hobson is unavailable.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Hobson at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put other customers at risk, for example by sending spam.
