Hobson asks first until it has earned the right to send.
What it does
Three settings per category
Asks first, Sends automatically or Off. Order status can send on its own while refunds always wait for a person.
Readiness from real outcomes
Each category starts as Learning. It becomes Ready after at least 20 replies in 30 days with a high share approved and few facts changed.
Policies come first
Refunds, returns, shipping, cancellations and warranty can’t auto-send until your knowledge base covers the policy.
Limits tuned from your approvals
The confidence a draft needs before it sends itself is tuned from the drafts your team approved without changes.
A minute to undo
Every automatic reply waits 60 seconds by default before it goes, so you can stop it. Send now skips the wait.
One switch pauses everything
A workspace switch stops all automatic sending at once. Hobson also pauses itself if messages flood in.
How it works
- 1
Start with Asks first
Every category begins with drafts for a person to approve. Hobson records whether each draft was sent as written, edited or replaced.
- 2
Watch readiness build
Settings › Autonomy shows each category’s state and why it is held, for example “8 of 20 replies” or a missing policy.
- 3
Turn on auto-send for a ready category
Only categories marked Ready can be switched to Sends automatically. Each reply still passes the checks before it goes.
- 4
Hobson steps back when it should
If corrections rise, the category returns to asking first. A customer quoting your policy, a proposed refund or a risk flag always waits for a person.
What stays in your control
- You choose the setting for every category, and Off means Hobson leaves it alone.
- Drafts with an order action, such as a refund, never send themselves.
- Chargebacks, legal threats and anything flagged as risky go to a person.
- Every automatic reply can be undone during its undo window.
