Who builds it
Hobson is built in the UK by a founder who also runs a web agency working with Shopify stores. Those stores answer the same questions every day: where is my order, can I return this, my parcel arrived damaged. Hobson exists to take that work off them without risking a wrong refund or a made-up policy.
How we think about AI in support
Hobson drafts every reply and a person approves it. It only sends on its own once it has proved it gets a kind of question right, and it steps back when it starts getting corrected. You can see how that works on the approvals and auto-send page.
